Icona News Ariston Thermo Group Designer Umberto Palermo and Ariston present the IGEA CARE hand washbasin column at Murano, Venice

On May the 28th, At the Hyatt Centric Hotel in Murano (Venice) the pre series of IGEA CARE has been presented. The hand-washing column has been designed by Umberto Palermo and developed by Ariston. The IGEA CARE column was born with the intention of starting a real change, that is, to bring hand washing everywhere, helping to guarantee hygiene and to raise people's awareness on this important issue. By providing hot water, sanitizing soap and air drying, IGEA CARE guarantees everyone the possibility to sanitize their hands in a comfortable, practical and efficient way, everywhere. "We immediately appreciated the idea of Umberto Palermo and thus realized, designed and industrialized the new product with flexible and innovative methodologies. In six months we have developed working prototypes, which we have tested internally in our offices and factories. We have therefore moved to install the product in some locations of different types. Currently, IGEA CARE has been installed in some shopping centers, offices, management centers and exhibition centers. The flexibility of the product and the comfort experience has been particularly appreciated in Italy and Poland. In Spain and Portugal, the product has been installed in healthcare facilities" says Giorgio Scaloni, Executive Vice President of Ariston Thermo's Water Heating Business Unit.
