On May 16th, during the Award Ceremony that took place in Berlin, Germany, Ariston Group’s brand ELCO has been awarded in the Building Technologies Product categories of the 2022 edition of the internationally renowned iF Design Award.
ELCO products AEROTOP SG Electrical Heating Heat Pump and THALION S Thermally Driven Heat Pumps won the iF Product Design 2022 award.
With its original design inspired by the Bauhaus principle that function follows design, AEROTOP SG is an electrical heating pump aiming to achieve a very silent heat pump in a compact shape, with a circular evaporator installed instead of a traditional flat one.
The THALION S is a thermally-driven heat pump, an innovative technology that natively combines the benefits of using renewable energy (heat pump) with a solution fitted for high temperature application in the retrofit market. It allows to reduce operating cost and gas consumption by over 30% compared to high-efficiency condensing boilers.
First introduced in 1953, the iF Design Award is one of the competitions of reference in the industry.
To the 2022 edition, a jury made of 75 design expert members worked intensively to indetify those products that – undergoing a two-phased selection as well as competent discussions, arguments, examinations and tests – stood out for their design features.
Ariston Group’s brand ELCO products made it to the final selection, distinguishing among the total of some 11,000 entries submitted overall from 57 countries.
Ariston Group is proud to receive these prestigious recognitions, which underline the Group’s leadership in the design and innovation of heating technology solutions.
